No children or children came in today. Instead, the class was full of superheroes! We had Spider-Man, police, Ironman, Catwoman and there were some strange looking adults wondering around!
It was a lovely way to start off our topic.
Thank you everyone for the effort you have put in with the costumes.

Dictionary skills
In literacy today the children were learning dictionary skills. Some children were looking up definitions while others sorted pictures into alphabetical order.
Explore learning
We had some special visitors in our class this afternoon. Gemma and Mia from Explore Learning (in Cabot Circus) came in to do some number work with the children. We played pairs with aliens and did some addition using coins. The children were so good that they were given 'lizard cards' that they can redeem at 'Explore Learning' to get a goodie bag.
Hindu Shrines
Today in RE we have been learning about Hindu Shrines. The children have been drawing and labelling the objects that feature on them.
Designing rooms
This morning the class set to work at making their own rooms using pictures from catalogues. They had to think carefully about the type of room they were making and select appropriate furniture and fittings.
